Bangladesh Network Operators Group (BDNOG) Conference & Workshop Held in Chattogram


Bi-annual conference and technical workshops of Bangladesh Network Operators Group (BDNOG) took place in Chattogram during 26-30 April 2019.

The event started through the conference on 26 April in Hotel Saikat, getting inaugurated by Chittagong University VC Professor Iftekhar Uddin Chowdhury. Mr. Nazmul Islam, Additional Commissioner of Counter Terrorism Unit in Bangladesh Police,  presented the  keynote speech. Leaders of BDNOG and other involved entities also spoke on the occasion.

Total 12 papers were presented in the conference by local and foreign speakers, covering a variety of topics like: global internet policy, mobile number portability, routing challenges and different perspectives regarding safety & security of internet applications including IoT. During 27-30 April, workshop on two different tracks (IPv6 deployment, IP multicast and VPLS) were conducted by experts from home and abroad.

Being one of the pioneering ICT forums in the country, Bangladesh Network Operators Group has been arranging this program since 2014; this time it was the 10th BDNOG. This has gradually become a grand occasion of interaction and knowledge sharing for related ICT professionals, leaders and experts of Bangladesh and adjacent region.
